While I have been building Loughtbury I have modified some locos, carriages and wagons.

Some have had new decals added, repainted or stripped down and had their motors upgraded.

As mentioned before I have tried to keep as much as possible from my first N Gauge layout from over 15 years ago. This meant when I got my trains back out there were a number that needed to be fixed up before they could run again. Loughtbury is set in the 2000’s so some trains needed a new coat of paint as well.

Loughtbury High Street – Building the main road above the station.

Loughtbury station is half covered by a road bridge that goes above it. This not only hides the length of the platforms but also hides the tight curves, points and access to the fiddle yard.
