Progress View

Here you can see the various photos showing the progress of the entire layout. Pretty much starting with just some Peco track and then expanding with scenery, buildings and details.

The first overall shot. Loughtbury station has it’s shape and platforms. Some of the track has cork underlay and it appears I have crudely set up a long loop.
The Loughtbury area now has some ballast and the maintenance depot is in place (Peco). The Rafferton side of the layout now has some light on it too! All of the buildings were from my original layout and at this stage I needed to work out where they would all end up.
Some hills! Not only have we got some scenery now, but it almost all of the track is now in place with various amounts of ballast. It also appears tea and cake are on the menu.
Some weathering has taken place, and I used some Polyfilla to cover the sleepers on the track of the depot bottom right.
In the distance you can see the basic platforms at Rafferton coming together. Loughtbury signalling centre is now in place.
The Network Rail depot now has a car park and the industrial estate is coming along nicely. Rafferton now has a road running from the bridge into town and the platforms have been painted.
Fencing and details in the Network Rail area with some bushes being trailed.
Some green! Lots of updates in this including a new container siding and lots and lots of static grass.
Lots more little details including some tufts and bushes on the hills and some changes to the industrial buildings. The carriage sidings on the top left have been re-built to allow through running.
Big changes at the top of the photo at Rafferton, the final hills and tunnel are in place and the cricket pitch is complete. Railway Modeller gave away a free backdrop which is perfect.
New lights installed to make the layout brighter. To compliment the backscene I have added some lightly painted blue background to the hills.
