N Gauge Festivities – Christmas @ Loughtbury

It is that time of year again! And I have been lucky enough to get an early Xmas present for the railway.

Just for the winter months, Rafferton has been given a large light up Christmas Tree to be placed in the square outside the station.

This fantastic little tree transforms the layout and is a great bit of fun.

But I also got a really clever 3D printed Christmas Tree sale complete with a seller and a family having a bit of an argument over which tree to buy.

I love these little details and a bit of a cameo.

I have also been working on Loughtbury station and its main building. This was a model I had on my previous layout and it is painted to look like a modern Network South East station. Whoever designed the model likes straight lines and it was a challenge to keep everything straight and leave the glass windows clear. I decided to give the whole model a touch up with additional colours, posters and signs. It looks far better now, and helps bring that part of the layout together.

Merry Christmas from Loughtbury and a Happy New Year!
